Matthew DiFrancesco

Financial Coach/Personal CFO

Matt had the benefit of being raised with a strong work ethic and the realization of the importance of developing strong relationships. These values have become the foundation of his client philosophy.

After graduation from the University of Michigan, Matt had the opportunity to gain valuable insights in a variety of environments, from running his own freelance photography business to working with both small businesses and large corporations in sales and business development. These experiences shaped his understanding of the opportunities and challenges business owners, professionals, and retirees face as they navigate their lives.

In the financial services profession, Matt saw the opportunity to be able to help these people to make a positive difference in people's lives by helping them pursue their financial, create a legacy for their lives and address the financial concerns they face.. After he passed his Series 7, 66 and Insurance Licensing in 2005, Matt began his financial services with UBS, where he completed their Wealth Management Education Program. In 2009, he transitioned to Stifel Nicolaus.

Yet, as our lives became more complex and uncertain, Matt found that, in addition to managing their investments in these volatile markets, people were looking for guidance in navigating all aspects of their financial concerns. With that in mind, he started DiFrancesco Financial Concierge, which is able to offer securities through Summit Brokerage Services, Inc. out of Boca Raton, FL. Through this relationship with Summit, DFC can provide you access to the resources and solutions that can help guide clients toward their dreams and goals and through the financial challenges they may face. In addition, this relationship with Summit allows access to technological tools that can accommodate client’s busy lives.

While Matt works with a variety of individuals, the bulk of his business focuses on the unique situations that face business owners, professionals, and retirees who have neither the time, the interest or the expertise to manage all of their financial affairs and value the guidance of an outside professional so that they can focus on the things that are most important to them, like their families, businesses and careers. His intent is not only to help them to pursue the goals that they want to accomplish, but also to identify the problems and challenges they may face. By gaining an understanding of a client's unique situation, Matt can help them develop customized strategies to pursue their goals.

In addition, Matt also understands the importance of giving back to his community. He is currently Past-President of the Cambria-Somerset Counties Estate Planning Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Johnstown YMCA and the Board of Trustees for the Independent Catholic Foundation. He is also actively involved with Rotary International, Laurel Highland's Council of the Boy Scouts, and Our Mother of Sorrows Parish.

Matt resides in Johnstown with his wife, Anne, and four boys who keep him busy running to athletic events, Scouts, and academic functions.
